With the “Sixties” edition of the popular Ternos diving watch series, DAVOSA is reviving the spirit of the 1960s. The Swiss manufacturer of high-quality mechanical watches not only focuses on the selection of manufacturing materials and design, but also on the wearing comfort of the watch, in order to revive the era of carefree lightness and a longing for freedom in lifestyle and fashion.

The case of the Ternos Sixties, made entirely of corrosion-resistant stainless steel 316L, has the appearance of a lens and therefore hugs the wrist perfectly: the screw-down base arches a few millimeters and hides the robust Swiss automatic movement DAV 3021 Protected curved glass characteristic of the 1960s. The unidirectional rotating bezel made of aluminum underlines the vintage character and is optionally available in blue, black or burgundy.

Today, with high-quality metal straps, one finds individually screwed strap links almost in unison, the screws of which are sunk almost invisibly into the respective strap link. In the last century, visible rivets were often used in functional watches, which can be easily recognized by the raised curves on the outside of the strap. DAVOSA has given the Ternos Sixties a metal band with exactly this look. The rivets of the lower band links are still screwed for easy band adjustment.

With a case diameter of only 40mm, the Ternos Sixties is based on the moderate case sizes of past decades. In terms of height, it shows a slim 12mm despite the curved glass and the diving bezel. This has been achieved through a clever case construction, which scores with the case head weight including movement and dial of only 58g. Adding only 68g to the metal band, because the 3mm thick links, which taper from 20mm to 16mm, are also reminiscent of fashion 70 years ago
