Created in 1865 in Sainte-Croix (Switzerland) by Charles Reuge, the eponymous manufacture initially specialized in musical pocket watches.
The sons of the founder took over the management of the company and began manufacturing music boxes. Success will be achieved and the company will become prosperous and recognized throughout the world for its creations.
In 1960, the Reuge factory began manufacturing songbirds which would make it famous.
