Emilio Carranza was a Mexican aviation pioneer and celebrated pilot who flew many successful missions, including a record-breaking flight from Mexico to New York City in 1928.

In 1926, Carranza participated in the “National Air Race” in Mexico City, where he won first place in the “Cabin Planes” category. This victory earned him national recognition and led to his appointment as the chief pilot of the Mexican military’s aviation division. In 1927, Carranza was selected to represent Mexico in the first transnational flight between the United States and Mexico, earning him international acclaim.
