The Cricket Nautical is one of the most famous models of Vulcain with the President watches. It is indeed the first diving watch equipped with an alarm to signal to the diver that it is time to go back up. This legendary watch is the result of the collaboration of 3 scientists who put all their knowledge at the service of the Vulcain manufacturer in the 1960s. They were the Swiss physicist and mathematician Hannes Keller, Max-Yves Brandly, explorer and filmmaker and Arthur Droz, certified diving instructor and representative of the C.I.A.S (Centre d’Investigation et d’Activités Sous-marines). The Cricket Nautical watch is a tribute to Hannes Keller, who died in 2022. On November 3, 1966, he reached a depth of more than 250 meters with a Vulcain Nautical Cricket on his wrist.
